Bayern Munich destroy Rottach-Egern 27-0 in pre-season clash

Defending German champions show no mercy against ninth-tier side

Serge Gnabry scores a hat-trick as Bayern run riot in Tegernsee

WEB FC Bayern beat Rottach-Egern 27-0 in their first game of pre-season at their Tegernsee training camp. Head coach Thomas Tuchel started with a strong side, including Serge Gnabry, Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski. Bayern took the lead after just two minutes when Gnabry scored the first of his three goals. The defending German champion continued to dominate the game, scoring 12 goals in the first half.

Rottach-Egern, who play in the ninth tier of German football, were no match for Bayern. The amateur side conceded 15 goals in the second half, as Bayern ran riot in Tegernsee. Gnabry completed his hat-trick in the 60th minute, and Lewandowski added two goals to take his tally to four for the day.

The win is a good start to pre-season for Bayern, who are looking to defend their Bundesliga title and win the Champions League. The German champions will face Barcelona in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, before returning to Bundesliga action on August 18.
